Homecoming Theme: Anything but a Backpack (Middle & Highschool)

• Hillsdale College rep visiting @ noon in Mrs. Greene's classroom (for juniors and seniors)
• Volleyball (JV) triangular vs Cedar Bluffs & Cornerstone @ OCA; beginning at 5:30 PM
• Board Meeting; 6:00 PM in the Library

Tuesday, September 20

Homecoming Theme: Country vs Country (Middle & Highschool)

• Junior Cheer Camp (PS-8th); 3:30-5:30 PM in the gym
• Cross Country meet @ Malcolm; 4:00 PM
• Volleyball (JV/V) @ College View Academy; 5:00/6:00 PM. Volleyball players should be dismissed at 2:30 in order to leave by 2:45 PM.

Wednesday, September 21

Homecoming Theme: Career Day (Middle & Highschool)

• Elementary & Secondary Chapel - Pastor Ed King (Hope Center)
• Homecoming Guest Registration Forms are due to Mrs. Krehbiel by the end of the day.  The guest forms must be filled out for all guests who do not presently attend OCA. Forms can be picked up in the office or downloaded online here.

Thursday, September 22

Homecoming Theme: Class Color Day (Elementary, Middle & Highschool)

• Softball (JV/V) @ Skutt Catholic; 5:00/6:30 PM
• Volleyball (MS/JV/V) @ Mead; 4:00/6:00/7:00 PM.

Homecoming Theme: Blue & Gold Day (Elementary, Middle & Highschool)

• Homecoming Tailgate Party; 12:00-2:15 PM - Middle and Highschool only
• Pep Rally; 2:15-2:45 PM - All OCA students will attend

Hallway decorating contest:

• Highschool can decorate their designated hallways with the theme “Board Games” 
• Decorating times: 
• September 17th: 10-2 PM
• September 18th: 1-5 PM

Homecoming Football Game: 

• OCA vs Conestoga 
• Bennington field @ 7 PM
• Parade
• Half-time performance by Jr. Cheer
• Performance by the OCA Cheer Team

Homecoming Game Parade:

Students are invited to participate in the parade around the track during half-time.

You may decorate a bike, scooter, golf cart, ATV, or a make a sign or poster and walk in the parade. PS-3rd grade students are required to have a parent or guardian walk with their student in the parade. 

Homecoming BBQ Tailgate Party

Who: Middle School & High School students will enjoy a BBQ tailgate party for Homecoming.

When: Friday, September 23rd - 12:00-2:15 p.m.

Where: OCA parking lot

What: Hotdog lunch, games, music, and Italian ice available from “Gimme The Scoop”. Cash and credit card accepted. Prices are 1 scoop- $4, 2 scoop- $6, 3 scoops-$7.50. Flavors: strawberry, green apple, watermelon, mango and cotton candy.

Homecoming Jr. Cheer Clinic: 

• PS-8th grade Tuesday, September 20th: 3:30-5:30 PM
• $25 includes snack, T-shirt and Bow!
• Campers will perform at the Football Game on Friday, September 23rd.

Homecoming Dinner for all OCA High School Students

Date: Saturday, September 24

Time: 6:00-7:30 PM

Location: General Crook House - 5730 North 30th St., Omaha

Tickets: $25/ person

Menu: Italian Dinner and Desserts Served

TODAY IS THE LAST DAY TO GET TICKETS: Tickets will be sold in the office Monday, Sept 12th - 16th only. No late tickets will be sold. Cash or checks only.

A donor came in the other day with four used OCA logoed stadium seats and an OCA logoed backpack (all used).

Bids must be received by Friday, September 23rd at 8:00 am. 

You can bid on 1, 2, 3 or all 4 seats and the backpack or the backpack can stand alone.

Elementary Basketball Signups

Students were given signup sheets for elementary basketball this winter. Families interested in Basketball this season should sign and return the forms by Monday or Tuesday next week. They can be returned to the office or to Mr. Thompson
