Sunday, April 18th
During the season of Easter, members of the Diocese of East Carolina are invited to participate in a prayerful process of discerning mission priorities for our life together.

This process will be centered in reflection on our Baptismal Covenant and will engage participants in three simple conversations. Participants will be invited to offer their feedback to the Executive Council of the Diocese, the group of leaders who will be responsible for establishing mission priorities for the next period of time in our life together.

Passing Down Wisdom from Generation to Generation

Growing up always has its challenges, but it is made easier when people realize they are not in it alone. In the Latino culture, fifteen is the age at which girls assume adult responsibilities and begin the transition toward becoming women. This transition is celebrated with what is known as a Quinceañera, which begins with a Eucharist in many countries and ends with a reception or party. Spanish-Language Ministries have put together a project to allow women to share their wisdom and help girls prepare for their Quinceañera within our diocese and beyond.

To that end, we have created a website where women can share their wisdom and experience and where girls can learn and grow from it in preparation for their Quinceañera. Suppose you are interested in contributing your wisdom and understanding. In that case, you may do so in English or Spanish in the knowledge that it will be translated and made available in both to be a blessing to girls preparing for their Quinceañeras.

Episcopal Youth Event

The Office of Youth Ministry within the Department of Faith Formation for The Episcopal Church has begun a research project to assess the impact, evaluate the efficacy, and plan for the future of the triennial international Episcopal Youth Event (EYE), and Evento de Jóvenes Episcopales (EJE), our contextually Latin American, Spanish-speaking event. We have contracted with Ministry Architects to manage this process and we need your help. By completing this form you will be added to our distribution list for consideration in sharing your EYE/EJE engagement(s).
