Down East Wood Ducks Tickets
The Diocese of East Carolina sponsors a box seat (capacity 6) for the Down East Wood Ducks at
Grainger Stadium in Kinston. To view the game schedule, click

Who Can Request Box Seats?
- Clergy: Are allowed box tickets once per season and are available on a first come first served basis.
- Parish Groups and Parishioners: Effective April 24, parishes may request box tickets or unused box tickets for parish groups and parishioners as listed below:
- For groups of six or less you may request the box seats.
- For groups of six or more you may request general admission tickets, up to the amount available on hand.

Disaster Chaplaincy Training
The Beecken Center
, in partnership with the
National Disaster Interfaiths Network (NDIN)
, invites clergy and lay spiritual caregivers of all faiths to take this disaster chaplaincy training on the campus of the University of the South in Sewanee, Tennessee,
July 15–17, 2019
. Participants who complete this certification can volunteer in their own diocese or faith community, or with NDIN and its national partners. NDIN can also assist unaffiliated volunteers in finding disaster spiritual care volunteer opportunities in local communities across the United States. SUMMA Student Theological Debate Camp
Camp is the cornerstone of SUMMA Student Theological Debate Society, which provides a way for high school students to build their faith through intellectual channels. Founded in the confidence that knowledge and reason are foundational to faith, SUMMA offers fun, friendship, and the opportunity for a deepened and more thoughtful faith. Just One Thing
High school seniors and current college students headed back to universities and colleges across North Carolina can connect with the Episcopal Campus Ministry through "Just One Thing."
This one-page form will send contact information for the student to the Campus Ministry on college campuses where there are ministries. In the Diocese of East Carolina, this includes ECU in Greenville, UNCP in Pembroke, and UNCW in Wilmington.

Clergy Continuing Education and Foreign Travel Funds
Diocesan funds are available to assist clergy with the expense of continuing education. You may submit grant requests for Clergy Domestic Education
or Clergy Foreign Travel. A simple two page request form is available
here
.
Submit grant requests via email by April 26, 2019, to the chair of the Continuing Education Committee,

Foundation Grant Application Now Live
The Grant Committee of the Foundation of the Diocese of East Carolina urges anyone with program or project needs to apply for grants that will be awarded for 2019 through the Endowment's Undesignated Funds. These funds will be available to the applicant no later than January 31, 2020.
The grant application must be completed and in Diocesan House by September 1st. The foundation page on the website can be found

2019 Missional Voices Gathering
The 2019
Missional Voices National Gathering will take place from
June 13th through 15th at Christ Church Cathedral in New Orleans, LA and will bring together church leaders, seminarians, church planters, entrepreneurs, artists, and everyday innovators to discuss innovative ministries and missional communities both within and outside of the traditional church context. This year’s focus will be on what we can learn about God’s mission from those engaged in difficult situations.

Over the last few weeks, we have been highlighting the Diocesan Life Roadshow in News & Notes. There's some re-working we need to do on our end to make this gathering as fruitful as possible. With that mind, we've decided to postpone the Roadshow until further notice.
