Revenue forecast shows slowing growth and jobs
WEA hosted a member forum to help answer that question with Josh Lehner, Economist with State of Oregon and Brandon Schrader, Economist with Department of Housing and Community Services. The December 2022 Economic and Revenue Forecast showed a range of data that hints at a mild recession beginning next summer. The Metro region saw a slight overall job loss in September with Washington County unemployment essentially unchanged at 3 percent. Westside Multimodal Improvements Study
As transportation and future investments remain a top priority, WEA co-hosted a roundtable for businesses and the community to give feedback to ODOT and Metro on ideas to improve traffic and travel time on US 26 corridor. Many of our WEA members participated and your presence ensures our seat at the table to help address the transportation challenges of our growing region for today and in the next 20 years.
