On August 9th, the First Pres Chancel Choir will sing in worship, and everyone is welcome to join in! Rehearsal will be at 8:15 a.m. on August 9th in the choir room.
In case you’re not aware, the choir room is on the lower level of our church building, Room B05. When you reach Magnolia Hall using either the stairs or elevator, look for signs to point the way!

Celebrating 46 Years of Partnership & A New Season for Samaritan
Since 1980, First Presbyterian Church of Oshkosh has been honored to serve as the home for Samaritan’s very first satellite office. Over the last 46 years, our shared commitment to Christ’s healing ministry has touched thousands of lives across Oshkosh and Northeast Wisconsin.
As the needs of our community have grown and evolved, so has Samaritan’s ministry. To better serve their clients and staff with a more accessible and modern space, Samaritan will be transitioning to a new location at the end of August. While they are moving out of our building, this move marks an exciting chapter of growth for their organization and the vital care they provide. Most importantly, our partnership is not ending—it is simply taking on a new form. Though our ministries will soon operate from different physical locations, our shared calling remains unchanged. We remain deeply committed to working together to promote mental, emotional, and spiritual wellness throughout our community.
We invite all to celebrate this ongoing relationship with us on Sunday, August 30. During worship, we will gather to witness the formal reaffirmation of our covenant and ask God’s continued blessing on Samaritan’s team. Afterward, please join us in the multi-purpose room during coffee hour for a special reception to honor our 46-year history together, bless Samaritan as they prepare for their new space, and celebrate our shared witness moving forward. We hope you can join us!
Let’s Take Care of This Place Together
You may notice some new signs around the building reminding us to turn off lights, fans, and air conditioning; pick up cups and water bottles; and leave each room ready for the next group.
These small actions make a real difference. Every dollar spent lighting or cooling an empty room is a dollar we cannot use for ministry, outreach, or helping someone in need. And every piece of trash left behind becomes a task for another member, volunteer, or staff person who should not have to clean up after the rest of us.
Our building is a shared space, and caring for it is a shared responsibility. Thank you for doing your part to keep it clean, comfortable, welcoming, and ready for everyone who comes through our doors.

During our worship services in the Westminster Room, the air conditioning is set to standard levels, but it can feel chilly. So, we recommend that you bring a layer to stay cozy. Thank you for your flexibility and understanding.
