Pastor Letter

Greetings Congregation,

This last week has seen some incredible changes in our worship here at St. Peter’s. On Friday, June 30th members of the staff and our congregation came together for a work day, and we moved all the necessary chairs and equipment to the gym. The pastoral ministry staff was proud and thankful that our parishioners could work alongside one another for the benefit of this ministry. In only three hours we were able to build a stage, set up more than two hundred chairs and construct a new chancel. With the help of volunteers, many hands made light work.

Speaking of light work, we want to relate a quick story. Whenever we built the stage initially, we were about four feet off of the center of the middle aisle. Faced with a choice, we could either take apart the stage, move each piece, and put it back together, or we could pick up the whole thing at once! Everyone gathered around, and after a count of three, we all moved the entire stage. What a great testament to what we can accomplish when we are all focused on one goal!

With that being said, we’d also like to remind you of the goal we are currently pursuing with the Vision to Victory Campaign. After only one month we have received enough pledges to cover our remaining debt! While that is truly a wonderful and momentous occasion we also want to encourage you to contribute to the campaign if you haven’t already. Currently, we have received pledges that range from twenty dollars to seventy thousand dollars over the course of the next three years. There is certainly a place for you to be a part of our Vision to Victory.

Finally, the pastoral ministry team would like to leave you with this. Stewardship is an act of trust in God. Whenever we contribute to the ministry with the treasures that God has given to us, we are trusting that our Lord and Savior will continue to provide us with all that we need. The Vision to Victory Campaign is not only an opportunity to trust the Lord, but to give back to Him in thankfulness for all that He has done.

Peace be with you all,

The Pastoral Ministry Team
