December 2024 Newsletter

Season's Greetings, Friends!

As we reach the halfway point of the academic year and reflect on the productive fall we’re now winding down, we want to say “thank you” to the many partners who have worked with us to help us bring industry perspectives and real-world applications to our sessions. Their contributions, illustrated in the coverage below, have been invaluable in equipping teachers with the tools they need to engage students and deepen their understanding of economics and personal finance.

This fall, our Election Economics, State of the Economy, and Finfluencers presentations sparked valuable conversations around current events, while our Econ-O-Ween mini-conference provided creative ways to make economics fun and accessible for students. We were also honored to again support the Siegfried Youth Leadership Program, helping students become better individual leaders, enriching their lives, and inspiring them to create positive change around them.

October’s Economic Education Month was a major highlight, featuring workshops and events that reached hundreds of educators across Delaware. Our 2024 Impact Report is now available, highlighting the positive difference we’ve had in classrooms throughout the state and beyond. We’re especially proud of the feedback we’ve received from educators, who continue to express appreciation for the practical tools and strategies we provide to support their work.

Looking ahead, we’re eager to offer our 2025 Lyons/CEEE Economic Forecast event on February 27th, which will offer valuable insights on the economic and financial landscapes for the year ahead. We’re also excited to invite K-12 educators to apply to our Master of Arts in Economics and Entrepreneurship for Educators (MAEEE), a cornerstone of professional development for K-12 teachers. This unique program offers educators a professional network and new opportunities for growth, while deepening their expertise and enriching their classrooms. The holiday break is an ideal time for teachers to consider how this degree could be the next step in their professional journey. The application window is now open and will remain so until February 1, 2025.

As always, thank you for your continued partnership and support. Wishing you a joyful and restful holiday season.

Cheers!
