School Counselor’s Corner

Ms. Hannah O’Boyle

As your new school counselor, I am excited to begin getting to know each and every student at Sacred Heart Elementary!

Throughout the school year, I will have the opportunity to observe both your child’s strengths and also areas where they may benefit from additional support. My role is to provide guidance and support in all areas of student development including academic, behavioral, social, and career readiness domains.

I look forward to a wonderful school year and the opportunity to work together to ensure the success of each student!

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with questions at:

Water Bottle Policy

On these hot days, please make sure you send a water bottle with your child to school. We have water fountains available, as needed, but it is good to have a water bottle that is accessible. Please do not send Stanley cups with a straw (or any cup with a straw). We have already had multiple spills just today. Our classroom desks are small and therefore each class has their own water bottle policy. The upper grades keep their water bottles in their lockers, but they are accessible whenever needed. Other classes may have alternate policies. Please review your child's classroom policy.

Volunteer Sign Up

Irish Festival Volunteer Fundraising Opportunity

We are grateful to Pittsburgh Irish Festival Executive Director, Mairin Petrone (SHES ’02) for partnering with us on a new fundraiser.

Here’s how it works: Sacred Heart volunteers will run the Irish Festival basket and 50/50 raffles the first weekend in September. In return for our help, The Irish Festival will donate 1/2 of their raffle profits to Sacred Heart Elementary School to fund the completion of our locker refacing project.

Please review the available shifts below to volunteer at the Pittsburgh Irish Festival — September 6–8. Click on the button to sign up for the shift(s) you are able to work.
