April 2023 NEWS & UPDATES | STPHILIPS1600.ORG

We've Been

Re-accredited!

During the week of March 26th, we had some very special guests on our campus! The visiting committee of the Independent Schools Association of the Southwest came to see what St. Philip's is all about. This group of men and women were tasked with observing and reporting the way St. Philip's operates and determining if we qualified for our 10-year re-accreditation. Factors like community impact, mission, academic programs, advancement, finances and facilities were taken into consideration.

Through interactions with our staff, faculty, students, parents and alumni, they were assured that we're delivering on our promise. Among the many commendations we received, the mention of joy stood out most. From the smiling faces, warm greetings and laughter throughout the halls, it's evident that joy lives here.

It's with great joy that we announce St. Philip's will continue

building with YOU for another ten years!

Destiny Award Luncheon

The conversation with Sterling K. Brown, our Parrish Family Speaker, was insightful and inspiring. His recognition of the integral role St. Philip's plays in building a thriving community was a beautiful reminder of "why we do what we do". For more highlights from the luncheon visit our website.

Parent University

We're focused on ensuring our community is mentally well by incorporating social-emotional learning for our students, providing parents with resources, and collaborating with mental health experts.

During our Spring edition of Parent University, students participated in workshops geared towards emotion recognition & regulation, while parents took part in specialized discussion groups. There was a class for grandparents, dads, single parents and a presentation on managing behavior. Parents were enriched, empowered and equipped by experts. We extend gratitude to all of our participants, speakers and vendors for their help in making this another successful event. Visit our website to learn more about upcoming Parent University webinars!
