We invite you, your family, and your friends to be part of this wonderful holiday tradition.
You are God’s LOVE in action! As the year draws to a close, please consider wrapping your compassionate support around the mighty mission of St. Philip’s by making a meaningful gift during this season of love and joy. Because of your generosity, St. Philip’s will be able to ensure effective expansion of our programs and community reach in South Dallas. Your contribution will translate into the positive transformation of those we serve.

Ribbon Cutting & Unveiling
On November 18th we hosted a Ribbon Cutting and Unveiling of newly constructed and recently renovated areas on our expanding campus. The areas of focus included the Maclin Family Legacy Center, Rees-Jones Welcome Center, Dallas Stars Early Childhood Playground, WeCreation Center, Landin Family Literacy Library, and Trammell Crow Library.

This year, we are celebrating 75 Years of Wondrous Works. Each ribbon cutting is symbolic of the many wondrous works birthed through St. Philip’s and the compassionate generosity of several strategic partners. The newly featured spaces are the direct result of St. Philip’s historic We Believe Campaign, now in its final phase. Funding for these projects comes from the generous support of Diana and Todd Maclin, Dallas Stars Foundation, Sapphire Foundation, The Real Estate Council, Rebecca and Robert Landin, and The Rees-Jones Foundation.
Turkey Giveaway
This was the second year we hosted a drive-through Thanksgiving meal to safely serve our community. St. Philip’s partnered with MW Logistics who provided hens, fresh produce, canned goods, and dairy products to add to each Thanksgiving meal. We are grateful to MW Logistics and our volunteers with the Dallas Spurs, Liverpool Supporters Clubs for orchestrating this event, and our daily volunteers for their commitment to our ministry.

VOLUNTEER SPOTLIGHT
Ten 8th graders from St. John’s Episcopal School recently volunteered on campus as part of their service-learning curriculum. They cleaned up trash and debris on the athletic fields and assisted with projects in the Accounting and Admissions departments. The students rotate to serve at various nonprofit agencies throughout the year. We look forward to welcoming a different group of 8th graders on three future service days next semester. We love their energy and positive attitudes!

The Dallas Stars, Enchant ® Christmas Announce a ‘Night of Giving,’ Benefiting St. Philip's School and Community Center
The spirit of Christmas is all about giving and bringing joy to others, and the Dallas Stars, Enchant® Christmas and the Dallas Stars Foundation strongly embrace that belief. As part of their ongoing community missions, these three organizations are partnering for an Enchant Christmas ‘Night of Giving,’ benefiting St. Philip's School and Community Center. Proceeds from the Wednesday, December 15 ticket sales and skate rentals will be donated to the Dallas Stars’ legacy project, building a multi-sport athletic complex at St. Philip’s and helping to fund after-school and summer programs for area kids. Throughout the evening, in addition to enjoying the magical holiday experience, guests will have an opportunity to meet the leaders of the school, as well as members of the Dallas Stars Ice Girls squad and beloved mascot, Victor E. Green. To attend the ‘Night of Giving’ and support St. Philip's, purchase tickets here
St. Philip’s Receives a Grant from The Village Giving Circle
St. Philip’s School and Community Center is one of the many North Texas area non-profits to receive a grant from The Village Giving Circle at Texas Women’s Foundation. The all-African-American, female, Dallas-based organization, awarded a historic $260,000 to non-profits who positively impact African-American communities. This investment directly into the North Texas metroplex moves The Village closer to its one-million-dollar total giving amount since its founding in 2017. We are extremely blessed to receive this grant that will support our early childhood programs. Thank you to The Village Giving Circle.
ATHLETICS
Cheer Competition
Congratulations to our Saints Cheer Teams! On November 14th, our Flag, MiteyMite, and PeeWee teams participated in the USAYL Cheer & Dance Competition. Our Flag and MiteyMite teams took home 1st place and our PeeWee Team won 3rd place. The girls worked extremely hard. Thank you to our dedicated coaches for leading our girls to victory!
Volleyball Clinic
We were excited to host a one-day volleyball clinic on our campus on November 13th. 20 girls participated in the clinic, learning all about serving, passing, setting, and other basics to understand the game of volleyball. Thank you to all who participated and especially to our volunteer coaches Toyota Morrison and Tamara Martin.

Basketball Skills are in full swing with the winter league starting in January. If you haven’t signed up, it’s not too late. Basketball Registration closes December 17th. Registration is $55 for boys and girls ages 3-12. Click here for more information and to register your athletes!
FRIENDS OF ST. PHILIP'S
Four Dates, Four Venues, and Four Times the Fun!
What a blessing it was to gather on our campus on November 3 for Bingo, BBQ & The Blues, the inaugural fundraiser for Friends of St. Philip’s benefitting St. Philip’s School & Community Center. More than 310 new and old friends enthusiastically filled the Snyder Activity Center for a special night of fellowship, incredible blues music by Dallas’ own Sam Johnston, Eddie Dean’s barbecue, and fabulous prize-winning bingo.

The sold-out event’s amazing hosts, Chris Arnold and Laura Harris, set the tone for the evening of fun. Celebrity guest callers, including Dr. Terry Flowers, Principal Kellee Murrell, and Marty Turco, were a huge hit.

The event raised approximately $150,000 to support the mission forward programming at St. Philip’s. We are so grateful for the leadership of FOSP Chair, Martha Johnston, and her hardworking committee, who navigated numerous obstacles with creativity and care to make Bingo, BBQ & The Blues a reality. It was well worth the wait.

FOSP looks forward to continuing their service in the South Dallas community as ambassadors for St. Philip’s School and Community Center. If you are interested in joining this effort, the general membership meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 9th. Be on the lookout for more details.
