Aunt Bette's is Growing!

St. Philip’s School and Community Center proudly unveiled the transformation of Aunt Bette’s Community Food Pantry in a heartwarming rededication ceremony on November 7th.

The newly renovated facility stands as a beacon of hope, poised to extend its reach. The expansion has allowed the pantry to serve another zip code, bringing the total to five, with an addition of 103 families. The panty continues to operate Monday-Thursday, distributing hundreds of pounds of fresh and nutritious food each week to clients and those with emergency needs.

The occasion spotlighted the essential contributions of families, foundations, partners, and dedicated volunteers who form the backbone of the pantry. Special guests included Rev. Paul Rasmussen, Trisha Cunningham, Alfreda Norman, Nancy E. Perot, Bill Addy, Dr. Terry J. Flowers and Rev. Dr. Mark Anshutz.

In a dynamic era of transformation, South Dallas and the St. Philip's community are evolving right before our eyes! Learn more about how you can get involved here.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

Honoring our Veterans

We want to take another moment to thank and celebrate our country’s heroes past and present for all that they do.

During chapel on November 10th, our campus came together with family members, friends, and the Men of Nehemiah to pay tribute to the brave men and women who have served our nation. The Veterans Day Chapel service was a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made and the unwavering dedication shown by our veterans. We are forever grateful for their service and commitment. ❤️

Understanding Language Learning Differences

Many thanks to the experts of the Shelton School for leading a workshop on identifying, understanding and working with students with learning differences.

The presentations and simulations gave our parents and faculty tremendous insight on how the brain works and how to better support our students. This is collaboration in action and a prime example of how we're thriving together!
