Joining Forces to Clean Up the Community
Thank you so much to everyone who participated in the Spring Cleanup!! There were about 40 participants, including current and former staff, Officer Shawna of the Dallas Police Department, and groups from TREC Young Guns, St. Andrew Methodist Church, along with MapleMark Bank. We extend gratitude to Gold Auto Recycling who continues to support our cleanups by providing dumpsters in critical locations. Visit our website for more meaningful ways you can get involved in our community!

Kidpreneur
In April, our Inaugural 7th grade class became entrepreneurs for this special edition of Kidpreneur! Each student created their own business, wrote a pitch to promote their business, manufactured their own merchandise and sold their products. Parents, faculty, staff and members of the community stopped by to support our young self-starters.
Two students, Eden Murrell (Comic Brilliance) and Legend Gasa (Legendary Sandwiches), were selected in the top 25 out of 500 business pitch videos in the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship South Region student entries and will go on to compete in the South Region semifinals. If they win at the semifinals, they will go on to the regional competition in June.

We are excited to share that our 7th graders prepared and presented homilies in Chapel during the Spring 2023 semester. Thank you, Mr. Francois, for spending several months working through the Fundamentals of Faith curriculum, deepening our students' knowledge of the bible and their relationship with God. Tune in to hear God's mighty word flow through our young people!

A Trustworthy Scout
Brooks Strey is a member of Boy Scout Troop 577 and chose SPSCC as the beneficiary of his Eagle Scout project. "I noticed when we were scoping it out that the lines and parking lot spacing lines were a bit faded away and in need of repainting" said Brooks. The weekend of 3/31 he and his team restriped our main parking lot.
This project is helpful to St. Philip's because making the lines more visible improves organization and safety in our parking and carpool areas. This project also accentuates the look and cleanliness of our campus.
Thanks for the refresh. Refreshing appearances are an uplifting influence that stimulate hope and invite positive energy. It now starts on the lot and follows everyone in! Thanks for your perseverance! - Dr. Terry Flowers
