Our recent adventure at the Battle at the Star event in Frisco was nothing short of exhilarating! Our flag football team displayed their incredible skills, and our cheerleaders wowed the crowd with a fantastic halftime show. The Ford Center provided the perfect backdrop for this exciting event, and we couldn't be prouder of our team's performance. Thanks to everyone who came out to support us!

We Love SchoolPass
In this digital age, St. Philip’s School & Community Center is proud to embrace SchoolPass, our efficient visitor management system. SchoolPass enhances safety with photo capture and immediate alerts if registered sex offenders attempt entry to our campus. It also notifies teachers and staff via text and email upon visitor sign-in. We've replaced manual sign-ins with user-friendly iPads at our Welcome and Learning Centers, so that every visitor, from parents to staff, gets personal QR codes and QuickPins. This upgrade has notably improved safety, security, and efficiency for our school community. For more information contact our administrative team.

It is a great year to be a St. Philips Saint! We have successfully facilitated our first on campus teledoc appointment.
This new convenient service, offered through Children's Helth Network, actually allows your student to have a doctor's visit while on campus, and you are able to remotely join the visit. The student is assessed for height, weight, and all vital signs prior to the provider call. The provider then joins the visit and, using equipment provided, exams are facilitated, allowing the providers to remotely examine ear, throat, and skin irritations. The provider is able to send prescription requests to the pharmacy of your choice. Strep and Flu tests can also be performed during the visit.
The convenience of our in-school teledoc system provides parents with the opportunity to minimize interruptions to their daily schedule should a child become ill at school. While teledoc does not take the place of your PCP nor a normal routine well child visit, it provides a service of convenience during the school day.
I encourage each parent/guardian to complete a consent form to minimize any delays should you decide to utilize the service. The school must contact you prior to allowing any student to be seen by a provider to obtain a second verbal consent. Learn more and enroll at childrens.com/telehealth.

St. Philip's alumni stop by to Drop Everything and Read!
At St. Philip's, our commitment to education doesn't stop at graduation. We're proud of our alumni who have not only succeeded in their own academic and professional journeys but have also found a way to give back to the community that helped shape them.
We'd like to express our gratitude to some remarkable alumni who have volunteered their time to read to our students during our special "Drop Everything and Read" (DEAR) time.
Siena Gailloux received her bachelors of finance from Texas Christian University and currently works as a financial analyst at J.P. Morgan.
"I attended J.P Morgan’s banquet with St. Philips earlier this year and was so impressed with the school and its mission. I immediately wanted to volunteer to support the school in any way possible! I chose D.E.A.R. because I love reading and have really enjoyed sharing my love of reading with the kids!"
Katie Stubbs graduated from Abilene Christian University and attained her master's degree of Science from the University of Texas at Arlington. She currently works as a Consumer Safety Officer for the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
"St. Philips was really influential for setting me on the track with a yearning for higher education and learning. I want to give back any way I can to the school that inspired me to reach for the stars. I've always loved volunteering with children, especially the younger ones. I think reading to these kids and interacting with them is a great way not only to nurture their love of the written word, but to also establish and bond and relationship with the next generation. Kids are our future, and we have to start at a young age to shape their minds for greatness."
Sidney Stubbs graduated from Abilene Christian University then went on to receive her Juris Doctorate from Thurgood Marshall School of Law. She works as a family attorney at K&M Attorneys at Law.
"I love St. Philip’s! Although I only attended the school for 5th and 6th grade, the time I spent there has always stayed with me. St. Philip’s strives and achieves to instill in their students the courage to pursue their dreams above all else. They also encourage the students to seek God on their journey. I have seen this walked out in faculty and staff members of St. Philip’s and if I can give back in any way, I will do so to keep the spirit of St. Philip’s alive! I chose DEAR time because I have always had a passion for reading. A passion that I actually developed from my 6th grade English teacher at St. Philip’s, Ms. Ortiz. When I go to DEAR Time I don’t just read to the kids, I try to make it as interactive as possible by asking them questions about the reading, what they think the moral or the story is, and how they can use what they learned in their lives. I find that they enjoy it and so do I. So, if I can share my passion for reading with the kids and also motivate and inspire them in the process that’s what I want to do!"

From Vice to Vitality
We're excited to invite your input on potential names for the property at 1612 Martin Luther King, Jr., Blvd, Dallas, TX 75215, formerly known as the green liquor store. Thanks to generous funding from the Communities Foundation of Texas and The Real Estate Council Community Investors, we're on track to complete renovations by year-end.
Your thoughts are invaluable; please complete the survey and suggest a name for this upcoming community space. Known as "The Pop-Up Community Engagement Hub," this flexible storefront is designed to support local entrepreneurs, provide various community services, host events, workshops, and create a welcoming space for both residents and public safety personnel. Your suggestions will help shape the future of this vibrant hub.
