SPSCC In the News
Thank you to Marlin Medical Solutions for donating masks to our school. Our number one priority is the safety of our students, faculty, and staff during this pandemic season, and this donation will help everyone stay safe while on our campus. Checkout the story here.

We want to thank Dallas Doing Good for their write-up on Aunt Bette's Community Pantry. We could not respond to the needs of our neighbors without our amazing partners, volunteers, and lead pantry employees, Kelvin and Angelyn.
First Girls Night Out of the Year
We held our first Girls Night Out (GNO) event in August with the theme "growing into a new year." Each girl received a plant to decorate and learned how to care for their plant just as they care for themselves and others. We look forward to a great year full of fellowship, learning, and fun. Learn more about Girls Night Out and sign your girls up here.

Fundraisers for Aunt Bette’s Community Pantry
The Dallas Spurs Supporters recently hosted their second annual golf tournament at Cowboys Golf Club raising $600 for Aunt Bette’s Community Pantry. They are already making plans for next year’s tournament with the challenge to double the $600 donation amount!
The Official Liverpool Supporters Club of Dallas proudly donated $835 to Aunt Bette’s Community Pantry in August. The funds were raised by selling raffle tickets for LFC related prizes during the 2020-2021 season. They look forward to raising the bar on that donation amount for the 2021-2022 season.
Pantry Volunteers in Action!
Felicia Thornton was initially introduced to St. Philip’s as a Dallas police officer assigned to patrol the neighborhood. That led her to send all three of her children to St. Philip’s. After she retired from the DPD, Felicia joined AmeriCorps and was assigned to Aunt Bette’s Community Pantry. She loved working in the pantry and continues to serve in the pantry three days a week as a volunteer. You can find Felicia doing a multitude of tasks from inventory and box-building for emergency clients, computer data entry, outside food distribution, and greeting and registering clients at the pantry. We love her genuine warmth and infectious laugh. Thank you, Felicia!
