Sacred Heart Talent Show: Auditions January 7-10

We are excited to announce that the 2025 SHES Talent Show is just around the corner! This is a wonderful opportunity for our students to showcase their unique talents and creativity while building confidence and having fun. Auditions will be held during recess the week we return from break, January 7-10.

We encourage students to share any talents they are passionate about, such as singing, dancing, playing an instrument, performing magic tricks, reciting poetry, or any other special skill. Acts should be no longer than 3 minutes and must be age-appropriate. Students should bring any necessary props, music, or equipment to their audition.

Talent show date: Wednesday, January 29th (During Catholic Schools Week)

Permission forms were sent home this week.

Basketball Games- Please Supervise Students

During basketball season, it's great to see our school spirit with so many student fans in attendance. Unfortunately, some of our student fans are not supervised by an adult and leave the building to walk around the neighborhood, play around in the basement of the Activities Building, or run onto the court without permission during timeouts or breaks.

To ensure your child's safety and to make sure that games are run smoothly without issue, it is required that students in 8th grade and under have an adult in the building that is supervising them. This can be a parent or one parent that can supervise a group of students. Students cannot be dropped off without a plan for adult supervision.

Please make sure that students:

  • Do not go onto the court and play during timeouts or breaks between quarters or half time.
  • Sit in the bleaches only and not on the floor at the baseline.

Thank you for your cooperation in making this a fun and safe basketball season!

Christmas Basketball Tournament Sign Up

Every year Sacred Heart hosts the largest Diocesan Basketball Tournament.

Over the years our Christmas Tournament has raised tens of thousands of dollars for gym improvements as well as to benefit all of Sacred Heart’s sports programs. For example, the funds from this tournament will help to pay for uniforms, special tournaments or races, equipment, such as soccer nets or volleyballs and special events, such as the 8th Grade Sports Banquet.

We will host 40 games in five days.

We need volunteers to make the tournament a success.

Every Sacred Heart family is asked to volunteer for ONE slot, and if your child plays in the tournament we ask that you sign up for TWO slots.

If you know how to work the clock, please sign up for clock shifts as those are difficult to find trained volunteers.

If you are able to volunteer, please sign up today! We appreciate your help and look forward to fun and profitable tournament.

Mrs. Osio- Thank You Sacred Heart School Community

Dear Sacred Heart School Community,

I am overwhelmed with gratitude as I reflect on the incredible support you have shown me during one of the most difficult battles I have faced.

To the students, parents, teachers, and the entire school community, your love, prayers, and encouragement have given me strength in some of my hardest moments.

The special fundraising night organized by the athletic department was a profoundly moving experience, one I will cherish forever. Your kindness and unwavering support have made a significant impact on my journey, and I am eternally grateful.

You will always hold a special place in my heart.

 With heartfelt thanks,

Feliz Navidad

¡¡Muchas Gracias!!
