Candlemas

Our 7th grade hosted our Candlemas Mass this week to end Catholic Schools Week.

Sacred Heart 8th Grade vs. Teachers

Our students and staff had such a fun Catholic Schools Week... even though the 8th grade class beat the teachers in all 3 sets during our school volleyball game!

Every day this week was filled with school spirit and, as always, Faith, Academics, and Service were at the heart of everything we did.

Thank you to the teachers and parents who helped to make this such a special week.

Parent-Teacher Conference:

Reminder: February 6th

Looking forward to seeing parents at the conferences scheduled for this Thursday, February 6th.

Registration for Parent-Teacher Conferences this Thursday is now closed.

If you would like to meet with a teacher and have not registered, please email your child's teacher.

You can check your conference time in the Calendar in FACTS.

School is dismissed at 11:30 and there is no after school program on Thursday.

Cold and Flu Season Reminder:

As the cold and flu season continues, it's important to take steps to protect yourself, your family, and your school community. Here are a few simple actions to help reduce the spread of germs:

  1. Stay home if you're feeling sick to avoid spreading illness to others. For example, if your child has a fever, they should stay home until they are fever free without medication.
  2. Wash hands regularly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially before eating or touching your face.
  3. Cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or the inside of your elbow to prevent droplets from spreading.
  4. Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces like doorknobs, desks, and shared items.
  5. Practice good hygiene by avoiding touching your face, especially your eyes, nose, and mouth.

Please talk to your children about following these guidelines, and we can help keep our school healthy and safe for everyone!

Stay healthy and take care!

Re-Enrollment

Every current family in grades K-7 received an email with instructions for re-enrolling for next school year. The email was sent to the parent that was responsible for enrollment in previous years. If your child plans to return next school year, you must re-enroll him/her as soon as possible to secure their place in their class.

Please re-enroll through the Family Portal and follow the instructions found in the email that was sent to you. If a different parent would like to be the enrollment responsible parent, please contact the office.

Please note, you only have to complete and answer questions that have an (*). You do not need to upload any additional documentation unless your child was recently baptized.

Also, please click: "Enrollment/Reenrollment" to complete your packet. Do NOT start a new application unless you are applying for a new student (ex. PreK or Kindergarten).

The $100 re-enrollment fee will no longer be applied to your 25-26 tuition as it was in past years. It will instead be applied to your FACTS fees. You will no longer be charged additional FACTS fees every year.

Lunch/Recess Duty: Help Needed for February

Thank you to everyone that has helped to support our Parent Volunteer Program for lunch/recess duty.

Your help has allowed the lunches to run smoothly and efficiently and helped to keep our students safe and active as they play outside.

We have a ton of need for help and volunteers in February and so if you have not yet completed your 6 required days, please sign up today.

If we do not have enough parents signed up, we cannot send students outside for recess. We want them to get outside as often as possible and so your help is needed.

If you have completed your family's 6 required days, but are available to help more, please sign up. We appreciate all of your support.

Parent Lunch/Recess Sign Up

If you are unable to complete your 6 required days, please send in your check for $120 to the school office ($20 per day you cannot volunteer). Thank you to everyone that has already sent their duty payment.

Sacred Heart Winter Sports Schedule

Keep up to date with Sacred Heart’s sports this winter with this schedule link below. You can also find the Winter Sports Schedule on our school website under “Athletics” and “SHAA Events”.

Winter Sports Schedule

During basketball season, it's great to see our school spirit with so many student fans in attendance. Unfortunately, some of our student fans are not supervised by an adult and leave the building to walk around the neighborhood, play around in the basement of the Activities Building, or run onto the court without permission during timeouts or breaks.

To ensure your child's safety and to make sure that games are run smoothly without issue, it is required that students in 8th grade and under have an adult in the building that is supervising them. This can be a parent or one parent that can supervise a group of students. Students cannot be dropped off without a plan for adult supervision.

Please make sure that students:

  • Do not go onto the court and play during timeouts or breaks between quarters or half time.
  • Sit in the bleaches only and not on the floor at the baseline.

Thank you for your cooperation in making this a fun and safe basketball season!
