Sacred Heart Parade

We held a parade last week to celebrate our JV and Varsity Diocesan Champions for this school year.

Congratulations to our Varsity Black Boys Basketball team, our Varsity Girls Cross Country team, and our JV 6th Grade Soccer Team.

We were also cheering on our boys as they headed to Scranton for the CYO State Championships. Our boys earned 4th place in the state! Congrats!

New Bench Earned!

Our crew has been working hard collecting and weighing your plastic bag donations. Thank you to everyone that has contributed.

This March we have already reached out 1000 lb goal and earned another bench for our school!

The girls have already started working toward our next 1000 pound goal. Please continue to send in your plastic bags.

ELKS Hoop Shoot Regional Champion: Hutton Brown

Congratulations to 7th grader, Hutton Brown. Earlier this year, he won the local Elks Hoop Shoot foul shooting competition.

He then went on to win the state and now the regional competition! WOW!

He has now qualified for the National Hoop Shoot in Chicago on April 26th.

Good luck Hutton!

Thank you Mrs. McDonough

After 20 years of dedicated teaching and support for our Sacred Heart students, Mrs. McDonough has made the decision to retire. On Friday, our students presented her with heartfelt gifts as a token of their appreciation. While we will greatly miss her presence, we will keep her in our thoughts and prayers as she embarks on this new chapter of her life.

Read-A-Thon- 2025- Final Week of Fun!

Read-a-Thon 2025 was a super success!

We've raised over $22,000!

Mrs. Redd, Mrs. Cashdollar, Mrs. Nichols and Mrs. Adams led our classes with pledges. Thank you so much to everyone that's contributed.

Our reading winners will be announced on Friday.

Some more fun things we've done this year for the Read-A-Thon:

  • Mrs. Redd's students got comfy and spent time reading all over the classroom with their fuzzy, stuffed friends.
  • Mrs. Holtz's kick-started 107's Book Madness bracket! They'll continue reading and voting throughout March!
  • Ms. Cheponis' class read with their 7th grade buddies in Ms. Rhodes' class.
  • Ms. Acklin's class has been reading the novel, The Eyes and the Impossible by Dave Eggers about a stray dog in an urban park. They were so excited to log minutes in their reading log each time they read together!
  • Eighth grade had fun reading with PreK last week.
