Making Energy Saving This Winter Even Smarter with New Smart Therm Program
|
Customers who enroll in the program agree to allow their smart thermostats to be adjusted automatically by up to four degrees when a Smart Therm Event is called. Program participants are eligible to receive a $50 incentive, plus an additional $25 for staying enrolled through April 1, 2019.

Rain Barrel Distributions 2019
Each rain barrel includes a 2-3’ flexible downspout, water hose connector, overflow fitting, and built-in mosquito screen. Barrels are made from recycled food barrels, and may be available in black or terra cotta colors. Product Dimensions (approximate): 24 inches wide x 40 inches tall; 16 pounds; 55 gallon capacity.

Blue Line Improvements Begin on January 26, 2019
|
During the southern segment closure, the Blue Line will be out of service south of the 103rd St/Watts Towers Station beginning at 4 am Saturday, January 26, 2019 to the end of May. During these closures, Metro is providing three levels of bus shuttle service. Additionally, rail service will be maintained between 7th St/Metro Center and 103rd St/Watts Towers Station. Plan ahead and allow extra time!

The Most Exciting Corporate Sustainability Moves in 2018
A lot of companies said no thank to single-use plastic. Inspired by a push from a broad coalition of activist groups, Starbucks pledged to phase out single-use plastic straws by 2020. Other major players like American Airlines and McDonald’s are makings similar shifts. McDonald’s and Starbucks are also teaming up to develop a compostable coffee cup.
