WRD's Lillian Kawasaki Eco Gardener Program teaches homeowners about the multiple benefits of planting a sustainable garden through a series of in-person classes. Whether you attend one or all of them, you are certain to walk away with knowledge about sustainable garden design concepts as well as plant and material selections for creating an attractive, water efficient garden. All classes are FREE.

The Eco Gardener program educates residents on four popular topics: sustainable landscape design, drought-tolerant plants, edible gardening, and irrigation basics. Register below for the last class offered in the series.

Recognizing Companies for Being "Good Corporate Citizens"

The Sanitation Districts has recognized 391 companies with certificates for being "good corporate citizens" during 2018. These companies have met their limits for wastewater discharge for at least a year, maintained their environmental equipment and fulfilled all permit requirements. Of these companies, 82 have received this recognition for 5 or more consecutive years.

TAP Mini Keychain Fobs Now Available at Metro Customer Centers
Wear your fare! TAP has launched a new line of products called TAP wearables. These include the TAP Mini keychain fob as well as the TAP Stretch and TAP Flex wrist bands. All can be purchased at Metro Customer Centers. The TAP Mini is a fob for your keychain. All TAP wearables function just like a regular TAP card — you can load Stored Value and passes onto them, and register them online at taptogo.net. TAP wearables can be used on any agency that accepts TAP.
