AVA Launches “The Path Forward” Video Series

In conjunction with National Crime Victims' Rights Week in April, AVA launched The Path Forward, a series of 14 short videos designed to help members in our community understand what to expect after experiencing a crime.

Developed in partnership with the Atlanta Police Department and other justice system stakeholders, the series covers topics such as what happens when you call 911, the role of responding officers and investigators, how victim advocates provide support, understanding the court process, and victims’ rights. Building Safer Communities Through Outreach and Partnership

Also during National Crime Victims’ Rights Week, AVA advocates joined partners from the City of Atlanta Police Department to connect with residents across all six police zones through community outreach efforts and AVA’s Mobile Community Care Unit.

Community presence matters. By meeting people where they are, AVA helps ensure residents know their rights, understand the support available to victims of crime, and feel more comfortable reaching out for help when they need it. These outreach efforts also provide opportunities to build trust, strengthen partnerships, and raise awareness about victim services available throughout Atlanta.

Interested in partnering with AVA on a community outreach event or initiative? We welcome opportunities to connect with residents, share resources, and support safer, more informed communities. Email us at info@atlantava.org to inquire about partnership opportunities with AVA.
