Our Biggest Graduation to Date! | | Summer Break Adventures: Outdoor Learning Activities for Pre-K Kids
Summer break is a time for fun, exploration, and making memories. But did you know that many everyday outdoor activities can also help your child continue building important skills for kindergarten?
The good news is that learning doesn’t have to look like homework or structured lessons. Young children learn best through play, curiosity, and hands-on experiences. That’s true both in the classroom and outside of it! Whether you’re spending time in your backyard, visiting a local park, or simply taking a walk around your neighborhood, there are plenty of opportunities to support your child’s growth while enjoying summer together.

Proud parents cheer as their little graduates step confidently into kindergarten, ready for new adventures. We're thrilled to have been part of this journey and can't wait to see how easily they integrate to their new environments and make new friends! | | Here's what some of our parents had to say about MECK Pre-K:
As both a MECK Pre-K employee and parent, I have experienced firsthand the incredible impact this program has on children and families. Professionally, I see the dedication, care, and high-quality learning experiences provided every day. As a parent, I watched my daughter grow tremendously academically, socially, and emotionally in a nurturing environment. Her confidence, communication skills, and love for learning blossomed throughout the year. MECK Pre-K truly sets children up for success while supporting families every step of the way.

This year I have had the pleasure of being a Meck Pre-K Teacher as well as a Meck Pre-K Parent. It has been an amazing experience on both ends. I cannot thank Meck Pre-K enough for this program. My daughter and my students have learned so much this year. The curriculum is put in place to help prepare children for Kindergarten. The growth that was shown this year left me speechless. Even though my daughter is going off to Kindergarten, I will continue my journey teaching for Meck Pre-K. I can't wait to see what next year brings! Meck Pre-K is the BEST!

Here's what one of our MECK Pre-K parents had to say about Ms. Walker: Ms Walker is above and beyond, she's loving, caring, and knowledgeable with what she does, she made every day educational and fun for the kids. My son enjoyed going to school every day just because Ms Walker was there, Ms Walker is the best. We will miss her for sure.

We want to acknowledge that on June 19th, we celebrated Juneteenth--Freedom Day! We hope everyone had the chance to visit a museum, get together with family members or took time to reflect on the significance of this holiday. There were many ways to celebrate in Charlotte including the Juneteenth Festival of the Carolinas. If you want to get ready for next year, check them out here.
Juneteenth is a holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States that was signed into law in 2021.
