The Episcopal Diocese of Alabama
News Updates | October 12, 2022
The opportunity to live out our baptismal covenant through our interactions with other people is one of the most powerful aspects of ministry in the Diocese of Alabama, and Sawyerville does just that. Through free summer programs, mentoring, and scholarships, Sawyerville—a ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of Alabama—provides Hale County's youth and children with opportunities. All of our programs strive to serve God, broaden the horizons of participants and staff, improve race relations in Alabama, and enrich the lives of those living in poverty.
Episcopalians are invited to consider how their community might serve young adults--on and off college campuses—and apply for an Episcopal Church Young Adult and Campus Ministry grant for the 2023-24 academic year.
The deadline to apply is Nov. 3, with decisions announced in February. Applicants are encouraged to utilize a discernment and planning guide prior to submission. Find application forms, selection criteria, sample applications, a timeline, budget guidelines, and more at this link.
