YOUNG RIDER NEWS & UPDATES

Applications are now open for the USEA EA21 Regional Clinics. This opportunity is for those who have obtained four (4) Minimum Eligibility Requirements (MERs) at Training level or above.. More information including the application can be found using the link below. Applications close on March 8 at 11:59 p.m. Late applications will not be accepted.

Registration is now open for the YRP Spring Symposium at UNH Equine on Sunday, March 29. The symposium will have both panels and hand-on workshops covering NINE different topics. Registration closes on March 22 at 11:59 p.m. Late registrations are not guaranteed to be accepted.

The MARS Bromont Rising U25 scholarship program, administered by the USEA Foundation, is pleased to announce that up to 10 grants of up to $2,500 each will once again be available for talented young riders aged 25 and under aiming to compete in the MARS Bromont (Quebec, Canada) U25 CCIs in June 2026.

This is a season long virtual competition between teams selected at random. Sign-ups are required and teams are announced in the spring, prior to the start of the Area 1 competition season. Team members earn points for team and individual leaderboards by entering, competing, placing, and volunteering at recognized horse trials.

If you are interested in representing Area 1 at the USEF Eventing Young Rider Championships, you MUST submit your Area declaration on your USEF Athlete Dashboard. This opportunity is for those competing at the CCI1* (ages 14-18), CCI2* (ages 14-21) and CCI3* (ages 16-25). Declarations close on May 15 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
