To our friends and supporters,

Thank you so much for voting for us in the Target Circle Giving Program. We received $2,675.27 to help us further our mission to improve the health and well-being of pregnant women, children, and families in Orange County with help from your generous votes. This donation came from a larger pool of funds donated from Target to nonprofits tied to the local community. View all the results at target.com/circle. Continue checking our website and social media channels to learn more about our work. Again, to everyone who participated, spread the word, and shared the love, thank you!

Fetal Infant Mortality Review & Fatherhood Programs

We are pleased to announce that we now have the Fetal Infant Mortality Review ("FIMR") and Fatherhood programs at Healthy Start. FIMR began in 1990 as a collaborative effort between American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the Federal Maternal and Child Health Bureau. FIMR was developed to better understand issues that are associated with fetal and infant mortality. It also aims to expand strategies for systems of care for families and children who are local and statewide.

Several Fatherhood initiatives are now housed under Healthy Start. The National Fatherhood Initiative started in 1994, and is now the nations leading provider of research on Fatherhood presence and involvement, research, and evidence-based Fatherhood programs. Their mission is to increase "Father involvement" by providing human service organizations and communities with Fatherhood training and programs.
