Our seventh annual Power of the Purse was held on March 21, with over 200 women in attendance. Our featured speaker, Vallie Collins, a survivor of US Airways Flight 1549, also known as "Miracle on the Hudson", was sponsored by First Tennessee Bank. It was a great night of food, fellowship, bingo and bidding all while helping our community!

Each year, volunteers representing our community meet for two days to evaluate the agencies applying for United Way funding. These volunteers take the job of representing our donors seriously. They evaluate each agency based on whether they meet a vital need in our community, are making a long term, positive impact, and are efficient/accountable.
