A letter from the Director
Performing Miracles and Changing Lives
Salute from Safe Harbor of Little Rock,

The last quarter of 2017 was met with gratefulness and thankfulness, the year had brought many challenges, as well as twists and turns. The complete staff has done a great job staying faithful and focused in their respective departments. We have witnessed the power of GOD performing miracles and changing the lives of the participants in the program. We’ve also seen firsthand family members' eyes glow to see their loved ones walking in the power and presence of GOD. I’ve personally listened to hours upon hours of student testimony about how their lives have changed, due to the new-found relationship with the Lord.

The holidays this year were the greatest, the Christmas party, as well as Thanksgiving was a celebration to be rivaled. We had singing, talent showcase and games. We also had Ms. Carrie Williams, of ACC, attend the party at Christmas. She said she enjoyed herself immensely.

As always, we are thankful for the great leadership we receive from the home office. We thank God for the men of God that lead us. The numbers we have seen in 2017 has only shown us to prepare for what God has in store for this new year. We were blessed to have 2 new partners added to our roster, Tokusen and Davies Trailer has proven to show great potential.

Proverbs18:10 says, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it and is Safe. We claim Safety for all our staff and students, as well as prosperity.

Student Testimony - Richard Buchanan
"I’m very thankful for the support and encouragement I have received here at Safe Harbor. Everyday I am motivated by my Savior to serve and to serve willingly. So I give back service to the place that has brought me to where I am today. Safe Harbor has given me a stable environment to grow beyond my shortcomings and strive for a greater awareness of my duty to God and my community.
His servant Richard Buchanan”
Battle in the Saddle Tunica, MS
Paul Battle Arena
Jan 19 - 21, 2018

Each year Safe Harbor produces a 3 day barrel race, Battle in the Saddle. The money raised from the event helps to provide for Safe Harbor and its participants, as well as maintenance on our facilities. We wouldn't be able to see this event through without the help from our sponsors & contestants.

We had a 1,055 entries from contestants all over the southeast, Texas, Louisiana, North Carolina, Missouri & Illinois. We paid out over $72,000 in checks & awards. Our 1D Average winner for the weekend went to the Maryville, TN cowgirl, McKenzie Morgan and her great horse, In Firewaters Honor.

Another exciting part of our race for the 2nd year in a row was the KK Run for Vegas.

Girls that are ages 16 & under can compete to qualify for their shot to run in Las Vegas at the Jr NFR. The top 3 in each age division qualify to go on to Vegas, and others have the chance to continue to accumulate points throughout the year to be able to go as well.

The division winner for the Juniors was Brentley Dowdy of Union City, TN and the Senior division winner was Avery Sprouse of Lilbourn, MO.
