Winter Closet Pantry volunteer, Badonna Davis,
fitting a child with brand-new winter boots.
Jack Frost Winter Closet Pantry
Many kids never get outdoor winter clothes, much less new winter jackets, snow pants, gloves, and boots. The Cadillac First Presbyterian church runs a children and youth brand new winter clothes service they have creatively named "The Jack Frost Winter Clothes Pantry" that they run from October to December each year. When Strong Tower Radio went on location to capture the story with the volunteers and to observe children receiving their gift clothes, we learned that they had outfitted 240 area youth just this year.
It is an amazing story of caring and meeting needs. One of the parents related with a trembling voice his own experience of shame from either not having respectable or adequate winter clothes as a child. It was a beautiful sight to see the staff outfit these children with dignity and respect. Hear this program Sunday, December 31st at 3:30 a.m., Monday, January 1st at 4 p.m., January 3rd Wednesday at 9 p.m., and Thursday at 1 p.m. only on Strong Tower Radio (STR) stations, STR apps, or STR.fm.

Snowflakes, source unknown.
Something in the Air!
My wife and I have recently enjoyed several hikes in Michigan’s northern woods, and here and there we’ve smelled a sweet fragrance along these walks. It’s a smell that most enjoy during the Christmas season, the scent of spruce and fir-tree boughs. Some businesses even offer little pillows full of fir tree needles whose fragrance lasts for many months!
Think of it: Our God put scented oil in certain trees and placed nerves in our noses that would send pleasure signals to our brains upon smelling the oil!
Amazing as that is, there’s more! If you recently listened to Strong Tower Radio (STR), you heard Dr. Eddie Remirez share studies that quantified the immune system benefits of one hour in the woods. Trees give off properties that increase specific human immune cell production rates by 50%, and the increased rate lasts for one month!
Ps 92:14-15 (NASB) describes God’s followers as full of sap and very green (very much alive) and that they declare the righteousness of God’s character. Many of you proclaim God’s character through your prayers and financial gifts to STR, and we praise God that you are full of sap! Your generosity is a sweet-smelling savor to God as He continues to draw listeners to Him through the STR broadcast.
As a result of listening to STR, eleven precious souls have given their lives to Jesus and embraced the everlasting gospel in 2022. Glory Hallelujah!! Praise God!!
As we approach the end of 2023, I invite you to include Strong Tower Radio in your year-end generosity. Your gift enables STR to enter 2023 with strength and meet numerous annual expense items we encounter each January.
Thank you for your continued offering unto God through your prayers for and financial support of STR.
May the Holy Spirit keep you full of sap and wafting the fragrance of God’s love as you enter 2024.
Kam Ferguson
Development Director
