“What are eligible expenses for my 529 College Savings Plans and HSA (health savings account)?” is a common question I receive when meeting with clients. Many of these questions could be attributed to years of ambiguity and limited practicality for both types of accounts.

Client Photos

Our client management system has an option to add client photos to each account, and we would like to do this to ensure everyone in our office is able to put names with faces going forward to enhance our existing client care. Financial Updates

Client Portal Changes

You may have noticed that the Client Portal on our website now has two login options: one for eMoney and one for Right Capital. Right Capital is a new financial planning software that we are transitioning some clients to over the coming months. Please continue to log into the eMoney portal unless you have been instructed otherwise by your planner. 

TD Ameritrade Investment Account 1099 Tax Forms

TD Ameritrade has begun sending 1099-R tax forms that report distributions from retirement plan accounts including IRA’s and they plan to send all 1099s by February 24. Please be aware that corrections sometimes need to be made to the 1099s after the originals have been sent. TD Ameritrade plans to send corrected 1099s beginning on March 9. To avoid the risk of having to file an amended return, it might be wise to wait on filing your taxes until most corrected 1099s are issued in mid-March. If you would like us to send your 1099s directly to your tax preparer or need any assistance retrieving your 1099s, please contact your financial planning team.
