Don’t Let Headlines Unsettle You: Investing is a Long Game

The NFL recently crowned another champion following their 47th Super Bowl and unfortunately my beloved Minnesota Vikings were not that team, yet again. It is getting harder to convince my 7-year-old son that they are the greatest team in NFL history. I might have to let him down gently that it is going to be tough cheering for the lovable losers of the NFL for the rest of his life and he might want to jump ship to another team now.

New Employee

Welcome to Syverson Strege’s newest employee Bobby Daniels. He joins the Planner team as a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM practitioner and Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA®).

 

Bobby brings a wealth of financial services industry knowledge and experience from his past careers in sales, financial planning, and most recently as a financial advisor.


He is excited to build a career with Syverson Strege not only because of our fee-only planning model, but also because of the strong values that guide the organization every single day.



Born and raised in West Des Moines, Bobby attended Iowa State University and completed his bachelor’s degree in marketing and management.

Client Orientation Workshop

Tuesday, May 16 from 3-4:30 p.m.


Client Orientation Workshop for new and established clients will be held at the Syverson Strege office or via Zoom.

 

The workshop will cover the following topics:

  • How to read statements
  • Tax forms
  • Client portal/online access
  • APS (Annual Planning Session) process
  • Recordkeeping/shredding documents
  • Handling charitable gifts from your IRA

 

If you attend in-person, please bring your devices so you can practice logging into your client portal. If you join virtually, you will have ample opportunity to ask questions and interact with the financial planners.

David Strege recently attended the Kingdom Advisors' Annual Conference “Redeeming Money,” along with more than 1,800 others, to continue education on integrating God’s view of money to help our clients accomplish their financial goals.

Several of our employees and guests enjoyed the opportunity to support the mission of this organization.
