New Programs:
Lessons Learned

Immediately following Lineage Journey II is Dr. Brian Strayer's 'Lessons Learned from the Pioneers'. Each program examines a different Adventist pioneer sharing their biography and important lessons from their life. Like the Bible it shares the good and bad of their lives so that we may learn from their life experiences. There are familiar and not so familiar pioneers but all of them will have valuable messages.

Heart Reformation

Dear Friends,

What the Bible says often collides with our inherited and cultivated character traits and life habits.
The Protestant Reformation’s core issue reduces to this: will those who claim to follow God be like the ‘good ground hearers” in Jesus’ parable of the sower and receive His Word, accepting all its conditions and requirements, OR, attempt to negotiate with God and add conditions – i.e. traditions – to what God requires?
We tend to have certain cherished ideas or customs that we want to justify, even in the face of clear Biblical statements that refute our ideas.  The Holy Spirit stirred early Protestant Reformers to take bold stands against unbiblical customs and doctrines that were separating people from God, not drawing them closer to Him.
These customs and ideas included a God who delights in everlasting punishment (purgatory, eternal burning hell), a God who can be appeased by works (penance, pilgrimages), a God whose Word can only be interpreted by the church’s leaders and that God can be reached only by certain prayers said thru human mediators, just to name a few.

These reformers made great strides as moved by the Holy Spirit they led others to follow the Bible, not human tradition, yet the Reformation began stalling as the various denominations progressed no further than their founders in living by God’s Word.  In effect, it became “here we stand, we will go no further.”

Yet the Protestant Reformation is not over, despite what some religious leaders have said.  The core issue of the protest is unresolved, and God keeps calling His people out from the maze of falsehoods and misunderstanding into the full truth of His everlasting gospel that sets us free in Jesus.

So Strong Tower Radio (STR) will continue to feature the Protestant Reformation each October and call people all thru the year to ‘delight to do Thy Will, oh my God’, because ‘Your Law (character) is written in my heart.(seat of my desires)’ (Ps 40:8, parenthetical items added by writer)   Such a heart condition remains the goal of the everlasting gospel of Jesus Christ.

Thank you for supporting STR with your influence, prayers, and finances.  Your choices are changing the world around you.
