Did you notice our theme? It’s “About Our Father's Business.” This is one of the first recorded sayings of Jesus, and it’s found in Luke 2:49. At the age of 12 years old, Jesus knew He was here for a purpose. Throughout scripture, there are two opposing views on greatness. The worldly view defines greatness as a competition to reach the top. But, our all-powerful God, the Creator of all things, puts the needs of His Creation before Himself. The enemy who attempted to overpower God exalts himself and seeks to put all others beneath him as defeated captives. On the other hand, when Jesus entered Jerusalem on Palm Sunday escorted by those whom He had raised from the dead and those who were restored from sickness to perfect health, there were no defeated captives here! Christ always puts the needs of others first. Yet the disciples of Christ often argued about who would be the greatest. James and John and their mother even asked for first and second place near Jesus in His kingdom. So many elements of our culture find their roots in competition. How the enemy delights in seeing followers of Christ engaged in any form of competition that puts others down for self-supremacy. We need to reflect more on the life of Christ. Are we really “about our Father's business”? Compare Christ's ride on the first Palm Sunday with His second coming. He will have an escort of rejoicing people whom He has freed from the power of the enemy! An old song says, “Oh Lord I want to be in that number!” Let's make it our goal to be “About Our Father's Business,” and to point others to Christ by our words and our deeds. For us to be “About Our Father’s Business” we started streaming our signal on June 1st. You can go to, and click on the streaming link or you can type in your address bar Unfortunately, we also have two pressing equipment needs. A failing audio decoder ($700) for WBHL to keep us on the air, and a failing encoder ($6700) for the TV station. I want to personally thank you for your continued prayers and financial support.

Jump Starting Early Math
By Judy L. Shull

With children returning to the classroom, either in person or electronically, now is a good time to review some math skills. If you have a lower elementary child, spend a few minutes each day helping them remember how to add and subtract. Make sure they are correctly carrying their adding numbers and borrowing for subtraction. Start simple with problems like 9 + 8 or 17-6 and move onto harder problems.

If you have an upper elementary student, spend at least 10 minutes a day reviewing their multiplication facts. Make sure they know what 0 and 1 times anything is and then move onto problems like 7 times 7 is 49 or 9 times 8 is 72.

Being able to quickly know facts will make life in math class much more enjoyable and successful.

This is Judy Shull Building Childhoods with Jesus for Strong Tower Radio where God’s Character is Proclaimed.

Judy Shull produced a 9-part 'Back-to-School' series for Strong Tower Radio this year in light of the COVID-19's impact on education. This series is airing on the radio plus posted on our Facebook page and the 'News & Views'.

We need to divorce ourselves from the ideals of the world. We might not be attending the theatre, but what is on our TV? I don't want to be a Pharisee because they aren’t fair you see.
Do we choose the society of sinners only when there is opportunity to bring them to Jesus? When do we mingle with the people of the world? Idols must be torn down. The Bible says flee idolatry.
Examine yourself! What do you love to think about? What do we love to talk about? Many young men are bound by digital addictions. How many of us are bound by sports?
Are we more interested in how people like us? We must understand the value of real leadership. Can we stand the displeasure of the crowd? If you follow convictions of God, you will encounter problems. Following Jesus will get you just what He got. All His disciples forsook Him and fled!
This is what mission is all about, getting ready for heaven. We are streaming STR. This is exciting! I want to have a part in giving the gospel to the world! We need to ask God to lay on our heart what He would have us to do.
The corona virus will have been a waste if we stay the same as what we were before it happened.
Listen dear people. If we don't have faith, there won’t be any miracles.
Statistically more was given during the GREAT DEPRESSION than what is being given now.
As you read my appeal, we stand on the brink of the precipice. A moment, as it were, remains.
Do we have the faith of Abraham? Sometimes God takes us right to the edge, but He said, “I will never leave you nor will I forsake you.” You can take that to the bank.
Thanks for what you have done, are doing, and will do. God bless you, our friends.
