MEETING INFORMATION
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is hosting the first public meeting for two farming and habitat restoration projects on the central Delta island of Webb Tract. These projects, proposed by Metropolitan and funded by the Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Conservancy, will be transformative.
Malinda Stalvey, Metropolitan project manager, will present project overviews and welcome additional presenters to discuss the farming opportunity, the preliminary wetland plans, potential ecocultural values, and scientific monitoring for this approximately 5,500-acre island located between Bradford Island and Frank’s Tract in the central Delta. Time will be reserved for questions and answers.
The meeting location is Big Break Visitor Center in Oakley, 69 Big Break Road, or you can join us via Zoom (see the link above). The meeting is expected to last for one hour but may extend to 12:30 p.m. if additional time is needed to answer all questions. For more information about this hybrid meeting, click here.
