Join us for the Summer Reading Challenge Kick Off Event


The annual OPL Summer Reading Challenge (SRC) is back this summer and we are hosting a special kick-off day to celebrate the launch of this year's challenge! Visit your local branch to register for the challenge and then join us at Iroquois Ridge Branch from 2 pm to 4 pm for a special launch party with a variety of games, treats, crafts and more! We will also have special guest Iggy, the mascot from of the Toronto Rock, available for photos at the party.

Summer Hours for Clearview Branch effective July 1


Please note Clearview Branch will have modified hours for the summer months. The new hours will be in effect as of July 1:


Sunday: 1 pm to 5 pm

Monday: 10 am to 3:30 pm

Tuesday: 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Wednesday: 10 am to 3:30 pm

Thursday: 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm

Friday: Closed

Saturday: 10 am to 4pm

Finding the Records for “Impossible” Genealogy: Lessons Learned from a Chinese Genealogist


A few weeks ago we had a special session with Genealogist Linda Yip where participants were able to learn more about the records to use when researching your Chinese roots. You can now view a recording of this session on our YouTube channel.
