February Construction Starts Down 3 Percent
 
New construction starts in February 2019 dropped another 3% from the previous month, according to Dodge Data & Analytics. The February downturn kept on pace from the decline which began in late 2018. Meanwhile, nonbuilding construction fell 8%, while residential building also declined by 3%. However, February’s nonresidential building held steady with its January pace.
