There are many ways you can turn your advocacy for early literacy into family events and activities that celebrate reading while also sharing evidence-based practices for reading instruction, intervention, and assessments.
Some ideas include:
- Print and share NCIL’s educational flyers with your school community to increase family knowledge or start a conversation.
- Use the Supporting Your Child’s Literacy Development Workshop Series to host a Literacy Workshop. Materials, including a facilitator's guide, a PowerPoint presentation, and a pdf with presenter notes, are available for Preschool, Elementary, and Adolescent literacy workshops.
- Share an Educational Video with families.
