Massachusetts enlists Buoy Health in the fight against COVID-19
Massachusetts residents can now use a new service from Buoy to evaluate their symptoms, according to a recent announcement from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts . After answering questions from Buoy’s online health assistant, the tool will connect you with the appropriate healthcare resources based on your symptoms and risk factors for COVID-19. The service is free to all Massachusetts residents. Learn more on Mass.Gov about this new service.
Investment in Digital Health Topped $3.1 Billion in First Quarter
A new report from Rock Health showed U.S. digital health firms received over $3.1 billion in new investment during the first quarter of 2020, making it the best first quarter ever for the sector. Two significant trends from the report stood out: 31% of deals during the first quarter were Series C or later and nearly two thirds of all companies funded target providers as their primary end user. Apply to Speak at HLTH 2020
The window to apply for a speaking slot at HLTH 2020 is now open. While there is no official deadline for speaker submissions, applicants are encouraged to apply as early as possible. This year’s event is scheduled for October in Las Vegas, Nevada, but next year’s event will be here in Massachusetts at the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center. Massachusetts speakers are encouraged to apply and showcase all that they’ve accomplished here in the Commonwealth. Read more .
Amwell raises $59.9 million in new equity
New filings with the SEC show that the Boston-based telemedicine company has raised $59.9 million in new equity. Founded in 2006 as American Well, the company boasts a customer base of over 240 health systems nationwide. Read more.
