New Building Update
Many thanks to the 120 people who responded to our New Building Survey! The words families used most often to describe Peter Kirk's culture included "community" (this led the way with 87 responses!), "parent volunteers", "active/energetic", "green/eco-friendly" and "welcoming/friendly". The most common responses to our third question (which asked what families would like to see in our new school design) included "cafeteria", "auditorium", "green building/sustainable", "natural light", "room for growth" and "safe access/more secure". These words (and your thoughtful comments - 45 in all!) are helping the architects and project manager get a sense of what's important to us so our values can be reflected in the new design.

At this point, we have a bit of homework before our next meeting and could use your help. We need to collect images of interesting, relevant spaces from other schools (that you've visited or seen online) - school entrances, cafeterias, libraries, gardens, playgrounds, community/PTSA rooms...anything that seems well thought out, a bit different from what we typically see in our local schools, and reflective of the values we identified. Please email any images to Steph at president@peterkirkptsa.org.

Finally, stay tuned for more info on Community Meeting dates, which will be coming up in the next few months.

Feel free to email us if you have any questions!

  • $20 PCC Scrip card
  • Other fun prizes!
If you want to participate but already signed up for membership, feel free to sign up a family member (like a grandparent or aunt/uncle)! You will still be entered into our drawing and we will be extremely grateful for your support of our school!

Jun 3rd Carnival

The Carnival Committee is about to begin planning for the biggest celebration of our year...and we need YOU to make it happen!

There are a few open spots on the committee for those parents or family members looking for a way to give back to the Peter Kirk PTSA and students. The Carnival Committee meets monthly beginning in February after mid-winter break, working both together and independently through the Spring to bring it all together for the Carnival on  June 3 . It is work, but we also have a TON of fun!  If you are interested, please contact Elysia Heller at  Carnival@peterkirkptsa.org .

Order Your Peter Kirk Spirit Wear!

Have you seen the new Blue Friday T-shirts for students and adults? Order online for $20 and pay shipping (from Bellevue) to get your "12" shirt for Blue Fridays.

We also have a ton of Peter Kirk shirts, hoodies and more for youth and adults. For an extra charge, you can also personalize it with the name of your little Eagle.
