What Does It Mean to Have Been "Exposed" to COVID-19?
If you're wondering what it means to have been exposed to COVID-19, today's segment is for you. You (or someone you know) may have been exposed to COVID-19, if you:

  • Were within 6 feet of an infected person for more than 15 minutes; or
  • Had unprotected contact with an infected person's body fluids (i.e., being coughed or sneezed on); or
  • Shared utensils or saliva with an infected person; or
  • Provided care for an infected person without wearing appropriate protective equipment

San Pedro Navigation Center Opens -
More Assistance for our Homeless Neighbors
The San Pedro Navigation Center located on the LAPD Harbor Division Property (2175 John S. Gibson Blvd, San Pedro) helps those experiencing homelessness securely store their belongings and receive case management services. Case managers are on-site to help navigate clients through referrals and connect them to resources. 60-gallon storage bins are available and kept in a secure building with access to them available six days a week. 
Deadline Extended to Apply for
P-EBT Food Assistance for Eligible Kids
The California Department of Social Services extended the deadline to apply for Pandemic-EBT (P-EBT) benefits for eligible children. The new deadline is July 15th. Children who are eligible for free or reduced-price meals also qualify for P-EBT assistance.

Renters Relief Program
To assist LA’s tenants and landlords affected by the current COVID-19 health pandemic, and prevent displacement of renters, the citywide Emergency Rental Assistance Subsidy Program was created by the City Council and HCIDLA, with the support of Mayor Eric Garcetti.The program will provide a temporary rent subsidy for tenants in the City of Los Angeles who are unable to pay rent due to circumstances related to the COVID-19 pandemic.



The program allocates $103,000,000 to provide a rent subsidy to Los Angeles City renters impacted by the COVID-19 health pandemic and is anticipated to assist 50,000 Los Angeles households.

The Los Angeles Housing + Community Investment Department (HCIDLA) is charged with the implementation of the Emergency Rental Assistance Subsidy Program (ERAS).

Free Meal Assistance for Seniors
Do You Know a Senior in Need of Free Meal Assistance? 
If you know a senior in need of meal assistance, it's not too late for them to  apply  for LA County's Great Plates Delivered Program.

Through Great Plates Delivered, LA County is providing three (3) home-delivered meals a day to qualifying older adults & adults over 60 who are at high-risk for COVID-19. This effort is not only assisting LA County seniors, but it is also helping LA County's local restaurant, hospitality and transportation community get back to work.

Extended: Paycheck Protection Program for Businesses
Last weekend, the federal government extended the deadline for businesses to apply for aid under the Paycheck Protection Program.

Businesses now have until August 8 to apply for a loan through the Paycheck Protection program. To find out how you can apply, visit the   U.S. Small Business Administration .
