County Updates
6-19-20 Update: New Health Officer Order, Locations Reopening
Currently, LA County remains in Phase 3 of the State of California's Resilience Roadmap and continues to be in line with the State's guidelines. The County's seven-day death average has not increased, the three-day hospitalization average is down 5 % and the seven-day testing average is well above the State’s requirement at 17,000 tests conducted per day. In addition, the County's positivity rate is 8 %, which is in line with the State’s requirements.

Although overall case counts are increasing (as testing becomes more widespread and there is more community transmission) the County continues to see steady decreases in: 1) The rate of COVID-19 infections, and 2) COVID-19 related hospitalizations and deaths.

Report Illegal Use of Fireworks
ALL FIREWORKS ARE ILLEGAL in the City of Los Angeles. As much as LAPD tries to address the issue every year, the City of LA remains on tactical alert, so LAPD resources are stretched thin and they have to prioritize calls for service.

If you have an actual address to where the fireworks are coming from, or the identity of people selling them, please forward it to your LAPD Senior Lead Officer so they can do a follow-up at the residence. If you have a description of the individual(s) responsible, that’s even better, but not necessary.

You can also call the non-emergency number 877-ASK-LAPD (877-275-5273) for fireworks.
Governor's Update
Face coverings required for all Californians beginning today (Thursday June 18th). Governor Gavin Newsom announced that starting today, Thursday June 18th, all Californians are required to wear face coverings in common or public indoor spaces. They are also required to wear face coverings or masks outdoors, when distancing is not possible.
