Funding for rural based businesses
Rural businesses are being invited to apply for grant funding, with successful schemes securing a minimum of £20,000.

Launched in early November, the latest round of the national £35m RDPE Growth Programme supports  business development, food processing, purchasing equipment and o pening up opportunities for tourism.

 Investing in digital technology for business growth
The Digital Enterprise scheme helps firms develop and grow. The business support programme offers funding for investment in digital technologies,  alongside workshops and masterclasses.

Over 1,300 companies in the Leeds City Region have already benefited from Digital Enterprise - details on eligibility and registration are available from the website.
Waste heat recovery scheme -  concept and activity funding
Companies in manufacturing and data processing are encouraged to apply for national funding from the  Industrial Heat Recovery Support Programme.

Open for applications until March 2020, the programme website includes detailed guidance, f requently asked questions, example completed application forms and upcoming events.
Electric vehicles showcase for business

Changes to tax on company cars from April 2020 are being highlighted at a business engagement event hosted at Rudding Park, Harrogate in January.

The electric vehicle ride and drive event is supported by leading manufacturers, and firms with company cars /  fleet vehicles are invited to  register their interest

  • Ripon-based business Lightwater Quarries is one of many companies in the Harrogate district that has benefited from the Skills Service. Offering employers specialist advice and funding, and over 1,200 courses on the Skills Catalogue as well as bespoke training, the Skills Service operates across the Leeds City Region.
  • Helping firms fill skill gaps, raise productivity and boost business growth Skills Support for the Workforce offers fully funded training for eligible businesses. Operating across North Yorkshire this bespoke programme is co-financed by the European Social Fund and national Education & Skills Funding Agency.
Graduate resource for business

The Bradford Graduate Internship programme is offering companies a part-funded (up to 40%) temporary staff resource.  

Providing project-based 10-week paid internships to new University of Bradford graduates, advertising and payroll of the posts is managed  by the university on behalf of the employing firm.
