Board of Education Regular Meeting: Tuesday, Sept. 9

The next Board of Education Regular Meeting is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, Sept. 9 at 7:30 PM in the EHS Library. 

This meeting will be open to the public and there will be opportunity for public comment. The meeting will also be available to be streamed live.

Coffee and Conversations: Thursday, Oct. 16

Dear Members of the Eastchester Schools Community, 

Due to the turnout for our two events over the summer, the EUFSD will be hosting an additional “Coffee and Conversations” event with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Alison Villanueva this fall.

On Thursday, October 16, Dr. Villanueva and school administrators will meet with parents and community members to initiate an ongoing dialogue with stakeholders on how best to improve the educational experience at Eastchester schools. You are invited to join us for a robust discussion on district initiatives and Eastchester's plans for the future.

The event will be take place in the EHS Digital Lab and begin at 6 p.m.

Coffee and light refreshments will be served.

EHS Class of 2027 Fundraiser: Sept. 19 Family Night at Citi Field

Bring the family to Citi Field in September for a night of fun!

While we are all looking ahead to summer, plans are in place to kick off the school year with a night of fun baseball at Citi Field. We have reserved a block of tickets in Section 141 on Friday, September 19, as the Mets take on the in-division rival Washington Nationals. 

All families - including faculty and staff - district-wide are invited to participate. We do suggest that anyone looking to sit together purchase tickets as a group; tickets will be distributed to parents in the fall. Tickets can be purchased HERE, searching under "Events & Activities -> Fundraisers."

Space will be very limited, so we encourage everyone to secure your tickets while you can! 

As this is a fundraiser for the Class of 2027, we are unable to offer refunds; in the event of a game postponement individual ticket holders can follow the protocols outlined by the New York Mets.

We wanted to check in now that our transition to ParentSquare is complete.

While signing up for ParentSquare is not required to receive our communications, there are many advanced features that won't be available until an account is created. Next steps:

DIRECT MESSAGING

We encourage everyone to begin utilizing the direct messaging feature in ParentSquare to reach out to faculty and staff, rather than email. You no longer need to look up email addresses to find a teacher--you'll just need their name. In addition, this will alleviate emails going to spam folders, as they'll be delivered by ParentSquare.

If you haven't done so, please accept the invitation to sign up for your account.
