Why do you prefer to help customers determine the bag size they need?
We are truly passionate about safety and want to ensure our customers are purchasing the appropriate size containment kit for the type of electronic gadgetry being carried on board your aircraft, as well as its specific measurements. In addition, we inquire about plans to upgrade to a larger devices that might require purchasing a second larger bag unnecessarily if they choose the larger kit the first time. This is why we prefer to assist customers when deciding which containment bag to order. Keep in mind, many lithium battery powered devices may be small but have more watt-hour power that could require a different containment solution. What kind of feedback are your getting from your airline customers about the current trends in lithium battery incidents?
As air travel gets back to normal after the pandemic lull, there are more batteries flying on airplanes, therefore an increased threat of events. We are seeing a continued trend with increased incidents related to e-cigarettes and vaping devices. Sometimes it is related to spare batteries not properly stored or possibly over-charging the unit. You can see the recent reports from the FAA have recorded several airline e-cigarettes incidents.
