OFFICIAL NOTICE OF AN ECCLESIASTICAL COUNCIL FOR THE EXAMINATION of Anthony Carter for Ordination in the United Church of Christ. 

Anthony Ambidwile Carter is a Member in Discernment of the Detroit Metropolitan Association and a member of the Shrine of the Black Madonna Pan-African Orthodox Church. 

The Association received recommendations from the Committee on Ministry, heard the candidate’s presentation, and further examined the candidate. The Association voted unanimously to authorize ordination, pending an accepted call.

Alkebulan alumna Diarra Kilpatrick has a new series that will premiere on March 21 on BET. A graduate of Bates Academy and Renaissance she is really from Detroit. A writer, actor, and producer who has addressed racism, and sexism in her previous work. Diarra is another example of Black excellence planted in Alkeublan. This streaming project includes Morris Chestnut and Phylicia Rashad. Diarra from Detroit is part of Kilpatrick’s exclusive overall deal with BET Studios. The word from BET is: Diarra represents the next generation of content creators, boldly embracing the role of a multi-hyphenate as a writer, actress, and producer.
