200th Anniversary Service

Forward in Faith. Forward in Spirit.

Horton Center and Laconia!

This week was a bit like Old Home Day at Horton Center Grandparent Camp! From left: Susan Hatem - who grew up in our church and is the daughter of Betty and Mendon MacDonald- who were wonderful long time members,

Diane Tinkham- enthusiastic Dean (not a grandparent!), and the great Grady Lowe

and his grandfather, Rev. Neil Wilson.

In the back row is our awesome Staff Pen Pal, Thaddy.

Creating an In-House Photo Directory

The Diaconate is very excited to see that photos of church members are

continuing to be sent to Carolyn Jorgensen at the Congregational Church of Laconia

so she can add them to our Church Photo Directory! Apparently some of you are

“camera shy” and you have not submitted your photo yet?! To help you along, we

have permission from Lorraine and Granville Barrows, Diane Wells, and Richard &

Maurine Bastille to share their photos and we hope this inspires you to get creative

with your own photos. Maybe a photo of you and your family, you and your dog, or

you and your cat?

Please share your photo with Carolyn Jorgensen at carolyn@laconiaucc.org and she

will slip it into the photo directory for you!

Thank you!

The Outreach Committee sponsored a high school student for 2024 from OneLife Africa. We received the following introductory letter about Elly Otieno.

Thank you for your help supporting him!

Elly Kamoni Otieno

Elly Kamoni Otieno is the youngest in a family of four children. Both of his parents died when he was in second grade. He lives with a guardian who is a peasant farmer. His siblings were unable to continue their educations beyond high school due to the loss of their parents.

Elly is a bright young man who hopes to attend university after high school and become a medical doctor. His favorite subjects are mathematics, chemistry, and biology. He loves the Lord Jesus and has accepted him as his personal savior!
