Team Congo in Soup-er Bowl

on February 8th

Once again, our team is in the Soup-er Bowl!

We are competing against ourselves and the 300 cans

of nutritional soup we collected last year on Soup-er Bowl Sunday.

Many predict that Team Congo

will exceed the number of cans that were donated last

year! Our rally cry for this year is,

“We all we got. We all we need,” to get the job done!

Please bring as many cans of soup as you are able

to our service on Sunday, February 8th and help to

alleviate the hunger of our less fortunate neighbors.

Donations will be placed in the Little Free Food

Pantry as volunteers stock it daily.

Let’s demonstrate, once again, that Team Congo

continues to be a positive force in our community.

Team Outreach

The Lenten season is approaching quickly.

In order to continue our Soup Suppers the Diaconate is requesting assistance from our church family.

The suppers are to be held February 26, March 12, and March 26. We will need to provide 4 Soups, bread, and dessert to share each week.

If you are able to assist, please notify Judy Genre, Catherine Tokarz, or Carmen (in the church office) with the date and what you are able to bring. There are several open positions on this committee and we are grateful for your willingness to support our efforts to continue this thoughtful Lenten practice.

This year Pastor Eliza will center the discussion on excerpts from the book 'Hope: A User's Manual' by MaryAnn McKibben Dana.
