Once again, the forecast is such that church leadership has made the decision to shift our worship onto Zoom for February 16th. The link is below (and is the same as last week.) We will begin at 9:30am.

CARING CONNECTION GATHERING On February 18

Tuesday, held in the Church Hall.  We hope anyone who wants to help us with food, drives to health appts, and visiting church members, will come to enjoy coffee, and meet all those who help us and tell about what they do. See you on the 18th. Diane Wells if questions.

Wildfire Relief: Call to Prayer and Action

The United Church of Christ (UCC) is actively responding to the devastating wildfires that have ravaged Los Angeles County since January 7, 2025. With nearly 30,000 acres consumed and 180,000 people displaced, these fires represent the largest disaster in the county's history.

In this time of crisis, the UCC's Global HOPE team is collaborating with local conferences and ecumenical partners to provide immediate relief and plan for long-term recovery. Tragically, the Altadena Community Church, United Church of Christ, has been destroyed, underscoring the profound impact on our faith communities.

To learn how you can contribute to the relief efforts, please visit the UCC's California Wildfires 2025 Appeal page. Your support and prayers are vital in bringing hope and healing to those affected by this disaster.

Breaking News. Soup-er Bowl Delayed!

Church sources report that due to unpredictable weather the Soup-er Bowl will now be celebrated at the next in-person church service (with the hope that it will be in the month of February, weather permitting).

No need to wear a jersey or shirt of your favorite team or organization, unless the spirit moves you. The big game has been played. What is left is our commitment to helping our neighbors that are less fortunate than we are. That is a great team to be a part of!

Please bring cans of soup, baked beans, pasta or any other shelf-stable food to donate. All donations will be used to replenish the Little Free Food Pantry each day.

Monetary donations can be sent into the church office with Pantry in the memo line at any time.

Thanks for your support of Team Congo and our mission to reach out into the world to help others in need. All of us need a helping hand at some point. Go team!

Calling All Cards!

Many of us find ourselves overwhelmed by greeting cards sent to us–unsolicited–by

charitable organizations. Whether you contribute to the charity or not, the greeting

cards just keep coming. You will find a designated box on the counter in the Church

Office where you can place those surplus cards! Diaconate will make very good use of

them. They regularly send cards to both members and friends of the church for all

occasions. Bring your cards in during Office Hours! Thank you.
