“For that one moment, ‘in and out of time’,

On that one mountain where all moments meet,

The daily veil that covers the sublime

In darkling glass fell dazzled at his feet.

There were no angels full of eyes and wings

Just living glory full of truth and grace.

The Love that dances at the heart of things

Shone out upon us from a human face

And to that light the light in us leaped up,

We felt it quicken somewhere deep within,

A sudden blaze of long-extinguished hope

Trembled and tingled through the tender skin.

Nor can this blackened sky, this darkened scar

Eclipse that glimpse of how things really are.”

— Malcolm Guite

Thank you to all the volunteers who came to help move the food pantry and the medical supply room on Friday, and for those who kept the office running in the process. Many hands really did make light - and joyful - work.

The Lenten season is approaching quickly.

In order to continue our Soup Suppers the Diaconate is requesting assistance from our church family.

The suppers are to be held

February 26, March 12, and March 26 at 5:00 PM

We will need to provide 4 Soups, bread, and dessert to share each week.

If you are able to assist, please notify Judy Genre, Catherine Tokarz, or Carmen (in the church office) with the date and what you are able to bring.

There are several open positions on this committee and we are grateful for your willingness to support our efforts to continue this thoughtful Lenten practice.

This year Pastor Eliza will center the discussion on excerpts from the book 'Hope: A User's Manual' by MaryAnn McKibben Dana.
