Neighbors in Need Special Mission Offering

In 2024, the Neighbors in Need theme is “Mental Health Justice For All!” This year’s focus is on Mental Health Justice. In 2015, the General Synod of the United Church of Christ passed a resolution to become WISE (Welcoming, Inclusive, Supportive, and Engaged) for mental health.  A just world for all is a world where the human rights and well-being of people with mental health challenges are respected, no matter who you are or where you are in life’s mental health journey.

Please join us in promoting this year’s NIN “Mental Health is a Universal Human Right” campaign at your church.  As you may recall, one-third of the offering supports Council for American Indian Ministry (CAIM). Two-thirds are used by Justice and Witness Ministries to provide grants to UCC churches and organizations as well as supporting a variety of justice initiatives, advocacy efforts, and direct service projects.

We will be celebrating and consecrating the Neighbors in Need Offering on Sunday, 9/22. You can write a check to the Church or put cash in an envelope with a note that references "NIN". Check out more details at UCC.ORG and learn much more! Thanks for your support and generosity.

YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE

You have an opportunity to work for peace in our world and in our communities through nonviolent action. Collaborate with UCC friends from across New Hampshire. There is a place for you - to work for a Ceasefire in Gaza, Gun Violence Prevention and to promote Just Peace Churches. For more information about the NHCUCC Peace with Justice Advocates Mission Group, contact Janet Zeller at janet.zeller@gmail.com.

Educational Forum on Christian Nationalism

Sunday September 22, 2024

Because it’s important to be clear about the terms we hear and use.

What is Christian Nationalism? What it is not?

What are the historical, cultural, and theological roots?

What are its stated goals?

After Church in the Library September 22nd & 29th

The New Hampshire Council of Churches

Is launching a new project addressing Christian Nationalism and associated ideologies this month via showings of the documentary film Bad Faith: Christian Nationalism’s Unholy War on Democracy.

The showings are next Monday and Tuesday

September 23 and September 24, 2024.

Monday's showing will be at the Littleton Opera House and Tuesday will occur at The Red River Theater in Concord. Events to be followed by a guided discussion. All are welcome, please join us!
