Dreaming the Gifts of Stewardship

As fall starts to display its radiant colors and cooler nights, it’s also time to gather our thoughts and hearts around the work of the church. The theme for this year’s campaign is “Dreaming God’s Dream”.  Churches throughout the UCC, including ours, will be aspiring to join this call to Dream Big! What is God’s Dream for us? How do we discern the call in Laconia? Over the next few Sundays we will explore how each of us contributes to God’s dream of peace. Several members will give testimony as to how being a part of the church inspires them to support that dream within our walls and out into the wider community. No Dream is too big and no Gift is too small. What is your Dream? Is it the same as God’s Dream? Please join with us as we celebrate each other and our commitment to the continuation of God’s dream for all of us.

Blessings,

The Stewardship Committee

Greetings from North Carolina!
We are settling into our new home and our hearts are full of gratitude for this church family and the warm sendoff we received.

Thank you for the special coffee hour (yummy cake!) and all the the hugs and best wishes

A group from our church enjoyed the free chair lift ride up and down Gunstock Mountain on Belknap County Day in September. We relaxed together up top as we took in the amazing views and many of us also experienced a ride on the very fast Mountain Coaster! Thanks to Jean Clarke and Educational Ministries for organizing the day!

HELP!!  Please?

Dear friends, as we are now into October, many of the Church Lay leaders are beginning to look ahead and begin planning for our January Annual Meeting.  An essential part of the planning is work to  be done by our Nominating Committee.  We currently are in need of a Chairperson for this important committee.  Would you be interested in helping out?

The committee historically has met following worship beginning in mid-October just to review the positions to be filled, and there is generally 1 or 2 meetings a month in November & December.  The Chairperson then assembles the Committee Report for inclusion in the Annual Report when the work is done.

Members on this important committee are generally representatives from each of our Standing Committees which include Property & Finance, Diaconate, Worship & Music, Outreach, and Educational Ministry.  The meetings generally last from 30-45 minutes.

Thank you for considering this important committee.

For the Moderator,

John Walker

Recording Clerk

If anyone lost an earing in the Church Hall please call the Church Office and identify what the earing looks like.
