Tons of Resources in Backpack Connection Series
The Series was created by TACSEI to provide a way for teachers and parents to work together to help young children develop social emotional skills and reduce challenging behavior. Teachers may send a handout home in a child's backpack when a new strategy or skill is introduced, like this one, Using Social Stories to Teach New Skills or Expectations. Each handout provides information that helps parents stay informed about what their child is learning at school and how to use the strategy or skill at home. The Series includes many resources - training materials and handouts that parent centers can use with parents.
Outcome: Enhancing your center's ability to provide parents with the knowledge and skills needed to partner to improve outcomes for their children.
